CTwo Solution Media’s E-Learning Platform Nominated for 2022 UNESCO Prize

CTwo Solution Media, trading as C2S Media, is proud to announce that our innovative e-learning platform, eSukulu, was nominated for the 2022 UNESCO King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa Prize for the Use of ICT in Education. This prestigious prize recognizes projects that leverage new technologies to expand educational opportunities in line with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and Goal 4 on education.

About the Project

Our e-learning platform, eSukulu, has made significant strides in advancing digital education:

  • Universal Accessibility: eSukulu’s digital learning platforms and content are accessible to all. It supported Master of Communication for Development students at the University of Zambia by providing recorded classes and lessons. This was especially beneficial for students with poor internet connectivity who couldn’t attend live sessions.
  • Digital Competency Development: The platform also focuses on enhancing digital skills among both teachers and learners. Through the process of using the online platform, learners were tutored in digital competencies, making them more adept with technology.
  • Promoting Universal Connectivity: To further extend digital education, C2S Media has laid the framework for setting up learning kiosks in remote areas and schools, ensuring broader accessibility to educational resources.
  • Expanded Content: Beyond its initial offerings, eSukulu now hosts tutorials for high school students and a MasterClass on becoming a landlord. More content is being developed to provide tutorials in various skill areas, making the platform a comprehensive resource for learners of all levels.
  • Successful Pilot: The eSukulu project was successfully piloted and tested as an e-learning platform, improving learning outcomes. It has creatively used new technologies to enhance learning and teaching in line with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Goal 4 on education.
  • Educational Access: The platform provides access to education materials in an electronic format and offers online tutoring at no cost to learners at The University of Zambia and the Copperbelt University, the two leading public universities in Zambia. The materials of the courses that have been made available so far on the platform can be accessed on this link: eSukulu Courses.
  • Digital Competency Training: Tutors and learners who accessed the platform were provided with digital competencies through short videos on how to use the platform.
  • Environmental Sustainability: The platform contributes to mitigating climate change by reducing the use of paper, promoting a more environmentally sustainable approach to education.
